From the moment John picked up an 8mm movie camera, John knew that film-making was in his blood. After graduating from Minnesota State University, St. Cloud with a B.A. in Television/Journalism/Film, John spent the next 25 years creating mini-movies for broadcast news. He’s worked for CBS, NBC, FOX, and UPN and has recently produced, directed, and marketed his first feature length documentary: “The Lake: Waves in Time.” John’s premiere film has been broadcast on Minnesota Public Television and can be found for rent on the competitive shelves of Hollywood Video Stores.
This Emmy and NPPA award nominated videographer is now vigorously researching his next film. The Choosing is borne of John’s own struggle with alcoholism and his passion for sobriety.
His 14-year-old son Aaron is a partner in his father’s spiritual path of recovery. John’s 3-year-old daughter Natalie is one of the many reasons John has chosen to make awareness of alcoholism his life’s work.
